Coach Williams: It feels surreal, honestly. This group of players has worked harder than any team I've coached in 15 years.
ZizzleNews: What made this team so special?
Coach Williams: Chemistry. Pure chemistry. These kids genuinely care about each other. There's no ego in our locker room. When Marcus went down with his ankle injury in January, three different players stepped up.
ZizzleNews: You've been at State for five years now. Is this what you envisioned?
Coach Williams: When I took this job, people said I was crazy. We'd won 8 games the year before. But I saw the potential. The administration believed in my vision, the community rallied behind us, and most importantly, the players bought in.
